Aesthetically, this is incredibly compelling. It's also very, very hard, I could only survive a minute or two, but I reran that little bit over and over to see the visuals and hear the music. That said, as another commenter mentioned, the sound effects need an update--mostly just to reduce the volume of enemy death sounds, which are grating and very frequent. I was surprised I could tune them out after a few minutes because I enjoyed the BGM so much. You're definitely cooking with this.
Thanks very much! It's definitely arcade-difficult! By the end of the month SFX will be reworked, but I'm glad the music was good enough to power through it haha
Hi! I gave your game a try and jotted down a few impressions in case they’re useful.
I think the sound effects could be improved. They feel a bit harsh and sometimes distract from the experience, especially when the enemies are hit.
The UI works well overall, though I noticed a rendering problem on Safari (Mac) where the buttons appeared cramped together.
I’m less drawn to the enemies’ art style, but that’s more a personal preference.
Looking forward to seeing how the next version evolves.

Aha! Yeah that's a known issue to do with resizing the window, the quick fix was just disabling the fullscreen button haha!
SFX hasn't been touched since the initial 4-week prototype, so your comment is a nice nudge to polish that up! There's some big deadlines at the end of April so it's full-steam ahead!
